Fönstret Tipsresultat visar dig de tips som har hittats för aktuell person. Det finns för närvarande fyra olika tipsvarianter som kan visas:
Fler sökmål kan komma att bli tillagda i framtiden. Vissa tipsgivare som t.ex. FindMyPast och MyHeritage visar bara ett resultat i listan och visar hur många tips som har hittats. När du klicka på ett tips så startar din webbläsare och alla tipsen visas summariskt. Andra givare så som FamilySearch och GenealogyBank visar en summa följd av det specifika tipset. För att välja ett visst tips så klickar du på det i summalistan för att starta upp din webbläsare.
Vissa av söktjänsterna är betaltjänster och man måste ha ett abonnemang för att få åtkomst till deras tips. Vissa har fria försökssperioder som man kan anmäla sig till. FamilySearch tjänsten är gratis men du måste teckna dig för ett konto innan du kan använda tjänsten.
FamilySearch - A FamilySearch title entry appears in the list showing the total hints found, which are pending, and which are confirmed. Below is each specific hint showing the match quality (out of five stars) and whether it is pending or confirmed.
FindMyPast - A summary entry is shown in the list. Clicking on it display the webpage with all the hints found.
GenealogyBank - A GenealogyBank title entry appears showing how many hints were found. Below that are up to five result lines that can be clicked on to view the specific hints.
MyHeritage - A summary entry shows how many hints were found and whether they are pending or confirmed. It also shows you what kind of additional information was found that you don't have - or that enhances what you have.
Redigera en person
You can jump directly to the Individual Information screen for the current person by clicking the Edit Person button. This is an easy way to add information that you find in the hint screens.
Tips som visas för en person
Along the right edge of the Hint Results window are checkboxes that you can use to turn off (or back on) specific hint services on a person-by-person basis. Any hint services that you have turned on globally are enabled and can be turned on or off for each person. Those services that are not turned on are greyed out. If you don't want see a particular hint service for the current person, uncheck its box. This will turn if off just for this person and will leave it on for everyone else (unless you have turned it off for them too).

When one or hints of a particular hint service have been viewed (clicked on to display the hint), Legacy remembers this. If you only want to see the UnViewed hints in the list for each person, select the Show UnViewed option. To always show all the hints, choose Show All.
Uppdatera Tipslistan för en person
Hints are automatically refreshed every 120 days (or less if you have set the refresh period shorter). If you would like to immediately refresh the hints for the current person, click the Refresh
button . After you do, the hints searches are submitted to the various sites you have selected and the results will start showing up soon.

To display the Legacy Hints screen where you can select or deselect the various hint services and options, click the Options button 
. This displays the Legacy Hints screen where you can make the desired changes.
Skapa ett flyttbart Tipsresultatfönster
Hint Results often include information on more than just the current person in Legacy. You might want to be able to view the hint results while being able to move around and edit more than just person showing on the screen. You can do this by clicking the Floating Window
button in the lower-right corner of the Hint Result window. When you click this button, the Hint Results screen will close and a message telling you that a floating version of the screen will then open will appear. Click OK to continue. When the floating screen appears, be sure to move it off to the side of the main Legacy window so that it won't cover the Hint Results window.
Anm.: You will have to close the floating Hint Results window before you can display the Hint Results for anyone else.
